Hello there! I’m Alexandra and I live in the Brainerd Lakes Area, Minnesota. I have over 10 years of experience with painting.

With a keen eye for detail and a love for storytelling, I aim to create art that resonates on a personal level. Each painting is crafted with care, whether it's a heartfelt wedding scene, a striking architectural view, or a dynamic animal portrait. The story behind the name: When I started painting in high school, I was playing around with different signatures and I just couldn’t find one I liked with my initials. Until I tried it with ZL- my dad calls me Zandra Laura. It’s how I’ve been signing my canvases since I first picked up a brush. I hold the name close to my heart, and it reflects how I pour everything into my work. When I decided to turn my passion into a living, I knew without a doubt what I wanted it to be called. And so ZL Studios came to be, just like how it started.

Some random facts about me: I’m a huge book nerd, dog mom, lover of wildlife and nature, child of God, and wife to my best friend.

I have always ADORED weddings, so it finally clicked one day that I should be combining two things I absolutely love- painting and love! Which is how I found myself jumping into being a Live Wedding Painter.
